It’s an exciting time to be a wrestling action figure collector. Even as I write this, announcements are being made about new figures being released for both WWE and AEW.
This week on the podcast, I’m joined by Red Daniels of Stride Pro Wrestling. He’s got his hands on the Chris Jericho ‘Little Bit of the Bubbly’ figure (early release through Ringside Collectibles).

Give me a hell yeah! For the first time, ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin’s Broken Skull IPA is now available in Kentucky. That’s only an hour’s drive from my home in southern Illinois, so this week we are Wrestling Under the Influence with this iconic beverage on 3:16 Day. It worked out perfectly!
Red Daniels, the NEEEWWWWW Stride Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion is my guest co-host this week. We rate the beer and also talk more about Austin in terms of ‘what-ifs’. Check it out and let us know what you think of the episode.
Stride Pro Wrestling returns to the Stride Arena (1130 N. Division St.) in Carterville, Illinois on Saturday, April 11. Bell time is 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for kids and $10 for adults. Be a part of the action!

In keeping with the Halloween theme for the month of October, I decided to have a chat with current Stride Pro Wrestling Heavyweight Champion Red Daniels. Nearly two years ago he was involved in the company’s first (and only) Buried Alive match.
To our knowledge, WWE is the only company to do Buried Alive. There have been five such matches, dating back to 1996. If we’re incorrect in that claim, please let me know.
Red talks about the idea behind the match, the execution of it and the aftermath. It’s a great conversation. Be sure to share it with your friends!

Give me a hell ya, because it’s time for another edition of Wrestling Under the Influence. This month former Stride Pro Wrestling Champion Red Daniels and I try Stone Brewing Company’s Stone IPA and discuss the career of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin.
We also talk about life as an indy wrestler and what’s going on in Stride Pro Wrestling. We have a HUGE event planned on Thursday, Aug. 29 at Rent One Park in Marion. Red gets his rematch for the belt and I’m teaming up with Heath Hatton to get a shot at the tag team titles. Learn more here.
Also over on the My 1-2-3 Cents YouTube channel, I’ve started a new feature called Go Figure Friday. Be sure to check it out and subscribe to the channel.
It’s a new episode of My 1-2-3 Cents the podcast. This week the new Stride Pro Wrestling Champion Red Daniels joins me as co-host. Since he just returned to the ring after being buried alive in Dec. 2017, I thought it only made sense to share our favorite wrestling returns.
We each share our six favorites (spoiler: mine are mostly old school based). Red also discusses his thoughts on character development and what he’s learned in his three years in the business.
Stride Pro Wrestling returns on Saturday, March 23. Norris City School is playing host this time around. You can learn more at the Stride website here.

Buried Alive thrives
The first ever Buried Alive match in Stride Pro Wrestling is in the books. You can read all about it (or just listen to today’s show) on the My 1-2-3 Cents blog. Both men make me proud to be a professional wrestling fan and a member of the Stride Pro Wrestling team.
But we can’t totally dwell on the past. Stride Pro Wrestling is at it again this weekend. On Saturday, Dec. 16 we head to Woodlawn Grade School to do a fundraiser event. Roger Matheus will defend the Stride Pro Wrestling Heavyweight title against Jay Spade in a Last Man Standing match. It’s also a first in Stride.
Donate & Win!
In episode 158, I announced my buddy Tom Harness and I are participating in the Ugly Christmas Suit guys fundraiser. Our goal is $7,500 for Children’s Home & Aid. You can read all about it here. But anyone who donated $25 will be entered to win the Rock and “Stone Cold” Steve Austin Christmas ornaments you see above. Make donations here (to Team Kevin of course)
Don’t forget, I’m also now a part of COLLARxELBOW. You can shop online and use the promo code MY123CENTS to save on t-shirts when you shop. The company has added some new shirts in recent weeks. It’s a great way to support indy wrestling and My 1-2-3 Cents. Thanks as always for your support.
For the first time in Stride Pro Wrestling history, the company presents a Buried Alive match. The heated rivalry between Chris Hargas and Red Daniels has brought us to this monumental evening. The show is set for Saturday, Dec. 9 at the Illinois Star Centre Mall in Marion, Illinois. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
The two will be the main event that night. Each man joins the My 1-2-3 Cents podcast to talk about whats at stake and what led us to this point. It will be the fight of a lifetime for each man. Also happening on that card, Jay Spade and Stride Pro Wrestling Champion Roger Matheus sign the contract for their match on Dec. 16. Ax Allwardt battles Scott Phoenix, Heath Hatton clashes with Dexter Roswell, Jose Magnifico takes on Brian Richards in a ‘mask vs. beard’ match. Tony Flood will defend the Legacy Championship against Joey O’Riley, JD Wilk battles Arron Brooks and Frank Wyatt meets Shane Laud.

Stride Pro Wrestling has been around for nearly a year. The company was founded in Marion, Illinois and puts on monthly shows at the CMA Dojo inside the Illinois Star Centre Mall. Not only are there the monthly shows, Stride offers a training school for future wrestlers. Red Daniels is the first graduate of the program.
Red was green in those early days but has quickly developed into a great talent. His tactics aren’t always above the board, as he’s joined forces with “Hitman” Jake Capone and “Big” Roger Matheus as the Midwest Mafia. It’s proven to be a smart move, as the Daniels and Capone have earned a shot against Stride Pro Wrestling tag team champions Jay Spade and Joey O’Riley.
That championship match happens Saturday, Feb. 11 at 6:30 p.m. Several other matches have been announced, head to the Stride Pro Wrestling Facebook page or My 1-2-3 Cents for more details. (Photo for this post courtesy: Steve Belcher)
