My 1-2-3 Cents Episode 206: Bo Sawyer

Monster Hunter

It’s almost Halloween, and we’re celebrating it here at My 1-2-3 Cents with one-third of the Midwest Monster Hunters, Bo Sawyer. He has been a part of Stride Pro Wrestling for nearly a year but has more than a decade of experience under his belt on the indy wrestling scene.

On the show, we talk about what monsters Bo and his partners have hunted and what’s still out there to conquer. You can follow Bo, Jason Tiller and Blaine Black here. Also, be sure to weigh in on the Who Should Have Been Champion tournament on the My 1-2-3 Cents Facebook page.

Shop the My 1-2-3 Cents shop on Pro Wrestling Tees. More designs are coming soon (I swear).

Corn Nation’s Five Heart Podcast Episode 30: Baseball, Basketball, and Ballpark Food

To quote Thin Lizzy, “the boys are back in town.” That being said, Greg and Brian are here with a brand new episode. The show kicks off with talk of Nebraska baseball’s Big Ten opening win over Indiana.

Meanwhile, Nebraska basketball suffered two losses this week, as the men’s team saw the departure of sophomore big man Ed Morrow Jr. The women’s basketball team lost Jessica Shepard to transfer as well.

Women’s basketball talk brings up the dominance of UCONN, and if it’s bad for the sport.

We go back to Bloomington’s baseball field(turf) and talk about the playing surface in a few other ballparks.

And of course, there’s food talk, like this ungodly monstrosity in Arlington now.

Corn Nation’s Five Heart Podcast Episode 8

Well, the Nebraska Cornhuskers survived their first trip to Bloomington in Big Ten play, topping the Indiana Hoosiers 27-22 and ruining Homecoming.

The Huskers jumped out to a 17-0 lead in the first quarter, but were held scoreless until the 4th frame, where they continued to outscore the opposition, this time 10-7.

What stood out in the Week 7 game? Brian and Greg share their thoughts on the game and Number 8 Nebraska’s 6-0 start (bowl eligibility, no doubt about it)!

Make no mistake…this team is perfect in record only. What needs to improve? Well, getting healthy would help. Big games loom in the near future, but Brian warns not to look past Purdue. 2015 ring a bell anyone?

Enjoy the show, and remember you can get it on iTunes, as well as on Stitcher (that’s new as of this week).

Greg is fighting a cough, so forgive him. But, it’s been a long bye week and the boys talk Indiana vs. Nebraska. Why are people worried about this game? We discuss that, as well as Nebraska’s Fourth Quarter ways. Plus, a quick glimpse in the whole advanced stats vs. box scores and whether you should trust one, the other, both, or neither!

AND WE DIDN’T EVEN MENTION THE CANDY STRIPE UNIFORMS FOR THE HOOSIERS!!!
