It’s Christmas in July, and the My 1-2-3 Cents Wrestling Figure Drive is starting early this year. There is a collection bin at Castle Perilous in Carbondale, Illinois. You can also purchase wrestling action figures and ship them to me (ask me for my address) or Venmo me, and I’ll do some shopping on your behalf.

I started this collection drive in 2018 thanks to the Major Wrestling Figure Podcast. As a result, we’ve collected hundreds of toys (I didn’t keep a good record). In memory of my mom, who died last month, I hope to collect 300 action figures this year, a record for this effort.

The My 1-2-3 Cents/Stride Pro Wrestling Action Figure Drive is back! We are entering our fifth year of collecting wrestling figures and wrestling-related toys for the Toys for Tots program. Here in southern Illinois, more than 15,000 toys were donated last year. We were able to contribute more than 250 wrestling figures to that total.

I’d love to do that again this year! Please consider donating cash to shop for figures or figures. The deadline for dropping off is at the Stride Pro Wrestling show Hostile Holiday on Saturday, Dec. 10. You can also DM me on social media to get details about shipping something.

Halloween is over, and it’s time to give thanks as we look to Christmas and the fourth annual My 1-2-3 Cents/Stride Pro Wrestling Action Figure Drive. We can make a huge difference right here in southern Illinois. Each person who donates this year will receive a small token of appreciation along with the chance to win a big prize from the My 1-2-3 Cents vault. Let’s face it, 2020 has been a rough ride for most of us. That includes the pro wrestling world. However, we can make it a bit brighter. This week’s podcast is all about the My 1-2-3 Cents/Stride Pro Wrestling Action Figure Drive.

If you want to help, you can send a new, unwrapped wrestling-related toy to 201 E Main St. Suite 3C, Carbondale, IL 62901 (c/o Kevin Hunsperger).  If you’d rather not pay for shipping, you can Venmo or Paypal me, and I’ll be going to Five Below and picking up figures there.

All donations are going to the Toys for Tots program in Carbondale, Illinois. They distribute to five counties here, and hundreds of kids could benefit from your generosity.  Let’s get 250 wrestling figures in the hands of children in southern Illinois!
