My 1-2-3 Cents Episode 457: Wrestling With Addiction

Addiction is a problem that plagues the world of professional wrestling. We’ve seen lives destroyed both in and out of the ring. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Sunny was in the news after being involved in a fatal DUI crash last year. The jokes and the memes that followed were horrible, in my opinion, and I’m ranting about it this week.

A reminder that the 2023 My 1-2-3 Cents Wrestling Figure Drive has already started. Drop off wrestling figures now at Castle Perilous Games and Books in Carbondale, Illinois. Or you can Venmo me or message me to arrange pickup. You may also drop off figs at Stride Pro Wrestling shows. The next one is Saturday, September 2.

My 1-2-3 Cents Episode 54: There’s Something About Terri

Episode 54 is a special one, as it marks the one year anniversary of My 1-2-3 Cents the Podcast.   The first show dropped December 9, 2014.  Thanks to all who have listened and shared the podcast.  It’s a lot of fun putting the shows together.  Also thanks to Greg Mehochko, co founder of Jittery Monkey and host of Nerds United, for inviting Kevin to be a part of the “family.”

The guest this week is former WWE Diva Terri Runnels.  She’s been involved in the wrestling business for more than 25 years and has evolved from her early days as Ms. Alexandra York in WCW to Marlena to Terri.  She shares stories from the early days, her life as a working mom and what she’s up to these days.

Speaking of which, you can catch Terri at WrestleCon during Wrestlemania 32 weekend in Dallas.  She also has a couple of upcoming events in New York and New Jersey.  Keep up with her on her website or social media pages.

Don’t forget to check out the My 1-2-3 Cents blog.  We’re also on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
